HHR0003 is a position sensor that detects the oscillating angle of the arm (forearm) relative to the boom, converting mechanical angular movement into an electrical signal for the machine controller (ECM). The arm angle sensor is mounted at the arm pivot area — specifically, on the boom side plate near the point where the arm connects to the boom. The sensor body is installed in a sensor attachment hole provided on the third boom side plate, with a link member connecting the sensor body to the arm side plate to transmit the oscillating angle of the arm. This arrangement protects the sensor body from external damage while enabling accurate angle detection throughout the arm's full range of motion.
