Sumitomo Excavator Pressure Sensor KHR2914

The KHR2914 is a 50 MPa high pressure sensor used in Sumitomo, CASE, and New Holland hydraulic excavators. It is a piezoresistive-type semiconductor pressure sensor that converts hydraulic pressure into an electrical signal for the machine controller (ECM) to monitor and regulate the main hydraulic system.

Sensor Details

The KHR2914 is installed in the main hydraulic circuit of the excavator. It is typically mounted on or near the main hydraulic pump or the main control valve, where it monitors high-pressure hydraulic oil in the main pump delivery line. Its primary function is to provide main pump

pressure feedback (P1/P2) to the ECM, enabling the controller to regulate pump displacement (swash plate angle) and match hydraulic output to workload demand. On Sumitomo SH200-3, SH400-3, and SH450HD-3 models, the KHR2914 is listed in the electrical parts section as the 50 MPa pressure sensor, while the KHR2915 is the 5 MPa (negative control) sensor.
